Last Friday, the 18th of October, I had the pleasure of seeing Miles Kane live in Newcastle and I'm still speechless!
After queuing early to ensure a good view, me and a friend made our way in towards the barrier ready for what was to come. People soon began piling into the venue leading up to the support act, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard. They soon made their way onto the stage and opened up with their song 'Late Night City', later singing their other singles 'Double Denim Hop' and 'Love Forever' then moved on to sing two unreleased singles 'John Lennon is my Jesus Christ' and 'Stockholm City Rock' which were both phenomenal.

You can listen to the band's songs on youtube now, while Double Denim Hop, Late Night City and Love Forever are on Spotify and other streaming platforms.
The band can also be found on social media -

To conclude, I couldn't recommend the band higher and I hope to see them again at some point!
As Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard left the stage, the venue began to play different artists music to fill the time. Not long after, the lights slightly dimmed and the roar of chants shouting Miles' name began to grow rapidly. Seconds later, none other than Miles Kane bounces onto stage making the crowd go wild - literally. Screaming, chanting, shouting.
After making a quick introduction, the show soon began. Starting off with a bang, Kane opened up with Coup De Grace, letting the crowd scream back every lyric. With Can You See Me Now and Too Little Too Late up next, the mosh pit soon opened up and practically everyone was having the time of their lives; note to self, maybe don't stand at centre barrier if you don't want to be in the mosh pit!

With the likes of Kingcrawler, LA Five Four (309) and Rearrange, the crowd became more and more involved with the music - from screaming the songs back to Kane word for word to continuously jumping up and down. It soon calmed down while Telepathy and Killing The Joke were sang, making everyone sway from side to side. Wrong Side Of Life followed with the atmosphere slowly going back to how it once was - hyped.
The jumping around soon started again when the sound of Come Closer ( one of, if not the most popular of Kane's songs ) filled the building. Everyone bouncing off of each other to such an iconic song was truly a sight I'll never forget. After Come Closer had died down, Kane took to the mic to announce he'd be getting some help with the next song, and who to our surprise comes back onto the stage? Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard! Seconds later LCD Soundsystem's Daft Punk Is Playing In My House emerged from the speakers, making the whole room go out of control with excitement. Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard soon left the stage after the crowd cheered for a solid minute or more, giving Kane time to pick up the acoustic guitar ready for his most recent hit - Blame It On The Summertime. After hearing the song for the first time back in September, I couldn't wait to hear it live for the first time and I have one word - amazing.

The bouncy summer song soon came to an end and next came Colour Of The Trap ( one of his more gentle, slowed down songs ) along with Loaded. At this point the crowd had died down, but not for long... On came Cry On My Guitar making the crowd scream with excitement. The opening guitar riff and drums ripped through the speakers and the whole room danced together as if they'd known each other years. From start to finish everyone just enjoyed themselves, jumping up and down without stopping. And as soon as that song finished, on came Inhaler making the room bounce even more.
Throughout, the mosh pit was always big, but somehow Inhaler made it even more intense resulting in a group of us flying out of the fire exit and two physically falling over! After quickly being rushed back inside and the door being shut, soon came the encore of Don't Forget Who You Are, and on came the chanting. The more the song went on, the louder the crowd became, and as it got to the last chorus Kane dragged out the "na na na"s, letting the build up to the very last verse even more extreme than it already was. To my surprise I went the whole gig without beer being poured on me, or so I thought. Just as the last verse was ending, a cup full of beer was chucked from one side of the room to the other resulting in me being drenched. Now i normally would of been a bit annoyed since I was covered in beer, but because of just how incredible the concert was I didn't seem to care. All that mattered in that moment was that I'd just gotten to see one of my favorite artists live and it's an experience I'll never forget.
To my surprise, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard came out after the gig to meet everyone, giving us the opportunity to speak to them for a while. We stood speaking for some time about different things after complimenting them on their set, etc. and they were lovely to talk to!
